More about Acupuncture…
JPW2852_0676
Acupuncture involves the insertion of fine needles into specific points on the body according to Traditional Chinese Medical Theory in order to encourage the healing processes of the body and alleviate pain.

Acupuncture and Tui Na are part of a complete system of medicine that has been developed and refined in China for over 2000 years. This system treats specific conditions, but also addresses any underlying imbalances in the body which have led to those conditions.

In the West, acupuncture is increasingly gaining recognition and is officially recognised by the NHS for the treatment and management of many conditions.

Is acupuncture safe?
Acupuncture is an extremely safe medical intervention when performed by a properly trained practitioner. All needles used are sterilized and are single use only.

More about Tui Na…
Tui Na (pronounced ‘twee-nah’) is a deep and powerful remedial massage which is used to –
  • treat specific medical conditions
  • aid in rehabilitation after injury
  • maintain health as part of preventative healthcare.

TuiNa1
It feels different to other types of massage as it uses techniques which are unique to Tui Na. Tui Na revitalises and invigorates the whole body, relaxes tight or tired muscles, improves blood and Qi flow to diseased or injured areas of the body in order to encourage healing and works both on physiological and psychological aspects helping to release the stresses of our modern lives.

Depending on what is required, the massage can be strong, dynamic and focused on problem areas leaving you highly energised, or can use extremely gentle techniques leaving you deeply relaxed.

There is no need undress for a Tui Na treatment and additional techniques may be used including: cupping, guasha, moxibustion or herbal massage lotions and oils which are applied directly onto the skin.

Oriental Facial Rejuvenation
JPW2907_0729
This is a treatment using both body and facial acupuncture and followed by a cleansing and invigorating facial massage. The treatment aims to improve the flow of blood and Qi to the skin of the face making it more lustrous, moist and elastic. Best results are seen after a course of 6 sessions, but benefits can be seen after just one treatment.

The normal signs of aging (wrinkles, loose skin) or blemishes can be treated but it must be noted that following a healthy lifestyle is a major part in enabling a healthy body and mind to fully nourish the skin of the face.

Oriental Facial Treatments will include a case history and advice according to TCM principles.
