CHICKWEED, CHAMOMILE & LAVENDER CREAM
A cooling, soothing cream for itchy, dry skin conditions like eczema and nettle rash. Great for allergic skin conditions and also makes a good lip balm. Safe for babies.
What’s in this and why?
Sweet Almond oil infused with chickweed (Stellaria media) to make chickweed oil which is the best herb I know to cool the skin and soothe itching.
Chamomile Infusion because chamomile is an excellent anti-inflammatory herb.
Beeswax to emulsify the cream (so that the water-based and oil-based ingredients will mix) and because beeswax is healing in its own right.
Lavender essential oil because it is soothing and reduces inflammation.

BREATHE EASY CREAM
A herbal, petroleum-free version of vapo-rub to rub on your chest and back when you’re feeling chesty and congested. Also makes a terrific sinus rub to be used when you have a blocked nose, for example after a cold or when you have hayfever. The cream is very effective and yet gentle on the skin. A little can also be dissolved in hot water for an effective steam inhalation.
What’s in this and why?
Sweet almond oil to carry the oil based ingredients
Thyme infusion (Thymus vulgaris) because Thyme is anti-microbial and contains lots of thymol, which loosens the airways.
Lobelia tincture (Lobelia inflata) just a little added because Lobelia has long been used to reduce spasms in the chest and open the bronchi.
Essential oils: a combination of Cedarwood, Eucalyptus, Pine and Peppermint for maximum effectiveness in clearing congested airways.

MUSCLE RUB CREAM
A cream to rub into strained muscles and achey joints which reduces inflammation and spasm and brings warmth the area.
What’s in this and why?
St Johns Wort Infused oil (Hypericum infused in sweet almond oil) which is traditionally used to reduce nerve pain.
Beeswax to emulsify the cream (so that the water-based and oil-based ingredients will mix) and because beeswax is healing in its own right.
Calendula infusion (Calendula officinalis) for its anti-inflammatory and healing qualities.
Lobelia tincture (Lobelia inflata) to reduce muscle spasm.
Essential oils: a combination of Wintergreen, Lavender, Rosemary and Black Pepper to reduce inflammation and spasm, increase blood flow to the area and give a warm, soothing effect.

SUPER SMOOTH TUMMY BUTTER
Created for a pregnant friend with super-effective ingredients to help prevent and treat stretch marks. This cream smells delicious and is wonderfully rich, so makes a great general body butter and treatment for rough, dry patches. It is formulated without nut oils.
What’s in this and why?
Wheatgerm Oil which contains lots of Vitamin E to improve skin’s elasticity.
Cocoa Butter, a must-have ingredient to prevent and treat stretch marks. The large amount of pure cocoa butter in our tummy butter also means it has a delicious chocolately smell.
Extra Virgin Olive Oil a rich nourishing oil.
Rosehip oil. A fixed oil cold-pressed from Rosehip seeds which is widely used to prevent and treat scarring, it’s exceptionally effective.
Mandarin Essential Oil because it is safe in pregnancy and calming. It also has a gorgeous fragrance, making the butter smell as good as it feels.

EVERY NIGHT FACE OIL
We all use this, sweeping just a few drops over face and neck each night. We love using oils on the skin, being plant-based and pure they don’t clog the skin and are very easily absorbed. Every Night Face Oil is created without essential oils to make it suitable for even the most super-sensitive skins. A few drops of Neroli, Rose or Frankincense oil can be added to customise it for you – just ask one of our staff which would be best for your skin.
What’s in this and why?
Argan Oil is being much talked about as a wonder oil. With very high levels of anti-oxidants, it has been prized for centuries for its anti-ageing properties. Found only in a tiny area of Morocco, it is expensive and difficult to get hold of. Ours is sourced through a women’s co-operative in Morocco and we have been hugely impressed by the results in our Every Night Face Oil.
Rosehip Oil is one of our favourite ingredients. Used to prevent and treat scarring and for its effect on fine lines and wrinkles.
St John’s Wort Oil targets sun damage and has long been used for its healing and soothing properties.

AROMATIC WATERS
Our beautiful aromatic waters are created by distilling flowers and leaves with pure water. It’s the same process as is used to create essential oils and means the water is infused with the fragrance and properties of the herb. They make lovely face toning spritzes and can be used as pillow or linen sprays and anytime you want to freshen your skin.
Rose Aromatic Water – the classic rosewater which reduces redness and lifts the heart.
Orange Flower Aromatic Water – perfect for younger skins and deliciously scented (Orange Flower is known as Neroli when it is used as an essential oil).
Rose Geranium Aromatic Water – moisturising and soothing, and probably our most popular frangrance.
Peppermint Aromatic Water - wonderfully refreshing, brilliant for cooling hot flushes and lovely as a cooling leg spray for hot heavy legs.
Lemon Balm Aromatic Water – uplifting and fresh. Has great anti-viral properties.
Lavender Aromatic Water – perfect when you are stressed and makes a good pillow spray to help you sleep.
Witchazel Aromatic Water – gently astringent so good for oily skins. Also traditionally used on cuts and grazes.

Our creams do not contain preservatives. Once open they should last for at least 6 months, you can maximise their life by keeping them away from light and heat and using a spoon or spatula instead of dipping fingers into the pot.
