Because we don’t use artificial preservatives in our creams and balms, they should be considered as fresh and raw products and used up quickly. Once opened, we suggest you use a clean spoon or spatula to scoop out the product and keep them somewhere cool and out of sunlight. The balms are emulsified with beewax and can look rather solid, when you have scooped some out, melt it in your hands before smoothing on the skin. If the cream separates and a little water appears on the surface, simply pour it off.
We know that that all seems like a lot of trouble, but we think it is worth it for the purest skincare possible. When you smell and try our creams and balms, we hope you will agree!

Chickweed, Chamomile & Lavender Cream 60g
A cooling, soothing cream for itchy, dry skin conditions like eczema and nettle rash. Great for allergic skin conditions and also makes a good lip balm. Safe for babies. What’s in this and why? ~ Sweet Almond oil infused with chickweed (Stellaria media) to make chickweed oil which is the best herb I know to cool the skin and soothe itching. ~ Chamomile Infusion because chamomile is an excellent anti-inflammatory herb. ~ Beeswax to emulsify the cream (so that the water-based and oil-based ingredients will mix) and because beeswax is healing in its own right. ~ Lavender essential oil because it is soothing and reduces inflammation.

Breathe Easy Cream 60g
A herbal, petroleum-free version of vapo-rub to rub on the chest and back when you’re feeling chesty and congested. Also makes a terrific sinus rub to be used when you have a blocked nose, for example after a cold or when you have hayfever. The cream is very effective and yet gentle on the skin. A little can also be dissolved in hot water for an effective steam inhalation. What’s in this and why? ~ Sweet almond oil to carry the oil based ingredients ~ Thyme infusion (Thymus vulgaris) because Thyme is anti-microbial and contains lots of thymol, which loosens the airways. ~ Lobelia tincture (Lobelia inflata) just a little added because Lobelia has long been used to reduce spasms in the chest and open the bronchi. ~ Essential oils: a combination of Cedarwood, Eucalyptus, Pine and Peppermint for maximum effectiveness in clearing congested airways.

Created for a pregnant friend with super-effective ingredients to help prevent and treat stretch marks. This cream smells delicious and is wonderfully rich, so makes a great general body butter and treatment for rough, dry patches. It is formulated without nut oils. What’s in this and why? ~ Wheatgerm Oil which contains lots of Vitamin E to improve skin’s elasticity. ~ Grapeseed Oil which is very high in antioxidants and which is traditionally used to prevent and treat stretchmarks. ~ Rosehip oil. A fixed oil cold-pressed from Rosehip seeds which is widely used to prevent and treat scarring, it’s exceptionally effective. ~ Cocoa Butter, a must-have ingredient to prevent and treat stretch marks.
