Herb Walk Reminder

Just a last-minute reminder that if you fancy taking advantage of the nice Spring weather, Paula’s doing an extra herb walk this lunchtime - Wednesday 25th March. There are still lots of places available, so give us a call to grab one...

Herb Walk Update!

Due to very high demand for the First Herb Walk on Saturday 28th of March, Paula has slipped in an earlier one for people who can’t make it. This weekday walk is actually before the first walk, on Wednesday 25th at 2:00pm - making it, presumably, Herb Walk Zero.

Note that as of time of posting (morning of 20th) there are still two places left on the 28th. If this all seems a little complicated, please call the shop and see which is available, and when... we’d love to see you at either!

First Herb Walk of 2009

Spring is on its way, so we’re excited to announce Paula’s first Herb Walk of 2009. It’s on Saturday 28th March at 10.30am when there will be lots of wonderful spring herbs to find on the Regents Canal and in Regents Park. Being a week after Mother’s Day, we think it would make an unusual present. We have designed a special Mother’s Day Gift Voucher which can be customised for the walk – or you can buy one for a massage, other treatment or for your mum to spend on some of our lovely products, of course.

Tickets are £10 (concs £5) and we strongly advise booking as our herb walks are very popular. Pop in or call us on 020 7267 3334 to book or for more information.

New Products!

We’re delighted to introduce a small range of handmade herbal skincare products. Using her years of experience as a clinical herbalist, Paula chosen what she knows works – cold-pressed oils, pure herb infusions, the finest waxes and pure, natural essential oils. There are NO chemicals or preservatives.

Go
here for the full list...

The ingredients listed are complete –
everything in the cream or oil is listed. Each ingredient earns its place by having a powerful therapeutic effect, there are no ‘fillers’ to bulk out the product, and the only non-plant based constituent we use is beeswax.

Either pop into the shop to try them out, or give us a call and we can post them to you...

Upcoming Events...

Two events are coming soon...

Wednesday, 25th February, 7:00pm:

Nick Hughes, our resident astrologer. Nick’s talks are always very popular, so booking is advised, though we’ll usually try to squeeze last minute people in. £7

Tuesday, 3rd March, 7:00pm:
Women’s Health and Acupuncture

Come and learn a new way of looking at your body’s most fundamental cycle!

Women’s bodies are the scene of a beautiful interplay of hormones that create the menstrual cycle. Based on observations of nature, Chinese Medicine offers a simple yet infinitely subtle way of looking at this cycle and how it relates to other areas of our health.

Conny Duxbury, MBAcC, lecturer at the London College of Traditional Acupuncture, will take you through the eye-opening Chinese view of the menstrual cycle and related conditions. She will discuss about how patterns of disharmony relating to the menstrual cycle can affect us on different levels – physical, energetic, mental, and emotional. She will also look at particular conditions – irregular periods, PMS, polycystic ovaries, menopause, and explain how acupuncture can help. £7

And don’t forget there’s also an NLP practice group on the last Thursday of every month. More information here...

The Power of Rose...

In celebration of upcoming Valentine’s Day, Paula has come up with a couple of things to do with rose syrup - making both cocktails and some lovely biscuits. Details of both are available on this Lemon Balm information sheet...
